By December 2022, 39 of the 50 states in the U.S. had legalized the use of cannabis for medical\npurposes, and 21 of those states had legalized adult-use consumption for recreational purposes.<\/p>

People use cannabis for variety of reasons, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to divide cannabis\nuse into two categories: use for pleasure and use for medical purposes, as was the case in the past.\nSome people use cannabis to get high, while others use CBD as a supplement for daily health\nmanagement. In Japan, new cannabis products are being created to meet the needs of health conscious\nusers, and the popularity of products like vapes and edibles that allow easy ingestion of CBD and CBN\nthat supports sleep is growing daily.<\/p>

The cannabis situation in the United States is complicated. Many states have already legalized cannabis\nbut there are yet 11 states that do not allow the use of cannabis for either recreational or medical\npurposes. There is a need for cannabis products in those 11 states, and just as in Japan, cannabis\nproducts can only be sold within the scope of state laws.<\/p>

Delta-8 THC is a cannabinoid that is commonly used where cannabis use is prohibited. This cannabinoid\nis used as an alternative to Delta-9 THC because of its euphoric effects are similar to those obtained\nfrom Delta-9 THC, the main ingredient in cannabis. However, since Delta-9 is the standard cannabinoid\nused in drug testing for cannabis use, many products made with Delta-8 THC are sold in states where\ncannabis use is illegal. Delta-8 THC is found in natural cannabis plants as well, but in very small amounts.\nTherefore, cannabis users in states where cannabis remains illegal will opt for products containing Delta-\n8 rather than Dela-9 to stay off the screening radar.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Canada is one of the few countries where the use of cannabis for both medical and recreational\npurposes is legal throughout the country.\u00a0However, Delta-8 THC is beginning to appear in certain\nproducts manufactured in Canada. Under Canada\u2019s Cannabis Act, the maximum use limit of Delta-9 THC\nin drinks and edibles is 10mgs.<\/p>

This limit has been an issue since 2019, when Canada allowed the production and sale of Cannabis 2.0\nproducts, including drinks and edibles.\u00a0For those who use cannabis on a daily basis, 10mg is a very low\ncontent, making the products unattractive to such users. Since edibles are among the most popular\ncannabis products in the world, it is unsurprising that Canadian cannabis companies would choose to\nuse Delta-8 THC their edibles when, unlike Delta-9, it is not subject to the 10 mg limit.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
